A. Personal & Account Information

When you create an account and complete onboarding, we collect information to manage your identity and personalize your experience:

Contact Information: Name, email address, and user ID.
Personalization Data: Partner's name and anniversary date (to customize your experience).
Authentication Data: Sign-in method (Apple/Google/Email) and login timestamps.
Profile Data: Profile photos and preferences you choose to upload.

B. Usage Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how our app is used to improve performance and user experience. This data is for our internal use only. We collect:

Usage Events: App opens, session duration, and feature interactions (e.g., completing onboarding, signing out).
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and general locale.

C. Location Data

We process location data only when you use specific features:

Map Features: To show date ideas near you.
Saved Dates: To pin your specific memories to a map location.

Important: We do not track your location in the background, and we do not send your location data to our analytics providers. Location data is stored securely in our database solely for your personal map functionality.

D. User Content (Memories)

We collect the content you create, including date titles, descriptions, ratings, tags, photos, and videos. This content is stored securely on our servers and is used solely to display your personal timeline and, if you choose, on the public community feed. You retain full ownership of your content.

E. Social & Community Data

When you use the social features of the Service, we collect and store:

Friend Connections: Records of friend requests sent, received, accepted, and removed, including associated user identifiers and timestamps.
Blocked Users: A list of users you have blocked, stored to enforce blocking functionality across the Service.
Invite Links: Invite codes you generate, including usage data (how many times the link was redeemed).
Bookmarks & Saves: Records of public dates you have saved (bookmarked), used to display your saved content and to calculate save counts on public dates.
Reports: If you report content, we store the report details (reported content, reason, and your user ID) to facilitate content moderation.

F. Creator Fund & Payment Data

If you participate in the Creator Fund, we collect and store:

PayPal Email Address: Provided by you at the time of a payout request, used solely to process your payout. Your PayPal email may also be stored locally on your device for convenience on future payout requests.
Earnings & Milestone Data: Records of milestones reached on your public dates and the corresponding earnings calculated.
Payout History: Records of payout requests, including amounts, status, and timestamps.

We do not store full payment credentials, bank account numbers, or credit card information. Payout processing is handled through third-party payment providers (currently PayPal).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

App Functionality: To create your account, store your dates, display your personalized timeline, and operate the community feed.
Social Features: To manage friend connections, enforce blocks, process invite links, and display save counts on public content.
Creator Fund: To calculate and record earnings milestones, process payout requests, and detect fraudulent activity.
Content Moderation: To review reported content and enforce our Terms of Service.
Internal Analytics: To analyze usage patterns (e.g., retention rates, crash reporting) to fix bugs and improve the app.
Communication: To send critical account updates or security notices.

We do NOT sell your data, we do NOT use your data for third-party advertising, and we do NOT track you across other apps or websites.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service.

Account Deletion: You have the right to delete your account at any time directly within the app settings. Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data, including your profile, memories, photos, videos, friend connections, blocked user lists, and analytics identifiers from our active systems. This action cannot be undone.

Creator Fund Data: If you have participated in the Creator Fund, records of completed payouts may be retained for a reasonable period after account deletion for accounting and legal compliance purposes. Unpaid earnings are forfeited upon account deletion.

Content Moderation Records: Reports you have submitted or that have been filed against your content may be retained after account deletion for safety and compliance purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We utilize trusted third-party services to facilitate our Service. These providers have access to your data only to perform specific tasks on our behalf:

Mixpanel: For first-party usage analytics (User ID, email, app events). Privacy Policy

Google & Apple Sign-In: For secure authentication.

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in secure, access-controlled databases. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
